Write out your day before it actually happens
Updated: Sep 13, 2021
Have trouble waking up like I do? I'm sure you do, especially if you are living in the middle of one of the most rowdy college dorms in America. I do not go out to parties, hardly ever go out at all, but still I am not able to fall asleep until 11:00 most nights. Ideally I would like to wake up at 5:00am most mornings but I am aware that that can not be the case most days. Getting 5-6 hours of sleep per night is not ideal if you are expediting lots of energy during the day. Ideally I like 6-7 hours of sleep a night.
So, if you are a borderline methodical maniac like myself, I have found what works for me in order to get up in the morning. You have to write everything out. Put your phone away a hour before you go to bed and pick up a notebook. In that notebook, write out your emotions the night before as well as a detailed list of what you are going to do the next day, if you write down and get in your mind that you are going to do that particular task the next day, chances are that you will do it.
Take my notes for a point of reference.

Let me tell you first that when I get up early I easily have my best days, I am much more productive and energetic, even if I do not have as much sleep.
