The most important time of the day

Whether you wake up at 5am or 8am, what you do with the first hour of your day is vitally important to how the rest of your day will go.

For the past couple of months I have not really had much of a routine. I would wake up, walk downstairs, watch Youtube and make myself something to eat for breakfast. Knowing well that I have trouble controlling how much I am consuming when I am watching Youtube or TV. But it made me comfortable, so I did it anyways. Last night I told myself that I would not use my phone for the first two hours of my day, to relax my mind and limit distractions. I can say in confidence that this morning was one of the best I have had in a while. I read my book, sent some emails, made spinach and eggs and just relaxed. I feel good right now and the day is just starting.

What I always tell myself is that the only way to move forward in society, the only way to progress is to stray away from comfort, to venture into the unknown. Do things that seem unorthodox.

Be conscious of your habits when you wake up because you do not want to fall victim to unhealthy practices, trust me, it's not fulfilling.
