My new goal, journey

My biggest struggle right now has to be my weight. I hit 210 the other day, that is a mark I did not believe I would ever reach. Listen, I don't really have a belly, a good amount of that weight is in my legs and my arms, so I don't look too overweight, but I am. At my peak I was 185 and toned. I can still get to that point. Not every day will be easy but I will get there. I am going to get back to that 185 point in life, mark my words.

My new goal: 185 pounds, sub 10% body fat. I want to win a road race in CC next summer. This is a hefty goal but I believe I can do it. I will post updates every Sunday on how I am doing in order to hold myself accountable. I have over 5 months, that is plenty of time. I am finally ready to get after it. One thing I always struggle with is the belief that I can do it all in a couple weeks, this is going to take time, I need to be patient. Take advantage of every waking moment.

There are so many upsides to having a strict workout schedule and healthy diet, as hard as it is, it will be worth it. I promise to myself that I will put in the work before I get to next summer, I will get in fantastic shape and keep the hope when I doubt myself.

Working in a restaurant for the past year or so I know how tempting it can be to resist tasty snacks, but I will have to for my own good. This is exciting stuff.
